Performing rights organizations collect money from radio and television stations, special event facilities, moving picture organizations, retail businesses, internet publishers, and jukeboxes. They then distribute the funds to the applicable publisher and artist in exchange for a small commission. All of the performing rights organizations also offer many complementary services to their members in addition royalty collection.
